What the five point teardown looks at

Five specific things about your launch layer, written about your product rather than pulled off a checklist.

  1. 1
Who the page thinks it's forMost launch pages are written for everyone and land with nobody. The first thing worth checking is whether a stranger can tell, from one screen, which specific person this is for, and whether that's the same person who actually pays you.
  2. 2
Whether the first screen earns the secondYou've got a few seconds. Does the headline say what someone gets, or just name a category? Does the line underneath add anything, or repeat the headline in different words? Is there a reason to keep scrolling?
  3. 3
Where the path to buying breaksLanding to paying, step by step. How many decisions someone has to make, where they're asked to think instead of act, and which step quietly loses the people who already wanted to buy.
  4. 4
Whether the pricing answers the real questionNot whether it's cheap. Whether someone can work out which option is theirs and what happens after they click. Missing or confusing pricing is the most common reason a working product doesn't sell.
  5. 5
What happens at checkout, and afterIs checkout connected? What shows up on success? What shows up when a payment fails? Is anything being measured? A launch with no success page and no analytics is a launch you can't learn anything from.

What comes back, and when

A written teardown, inside 48 hours of you sending the form. Plain text you can read, forward to a co-founder, and act on yourself if that's all you wanted. No call gets booked and no deck arrives.

  • Five specific observations, with the reasoning for each
  • The one change most likely to matter, and why that one
  • Whether the page needs rewriting or just reworking
  • An honest answer if it's already fine

Who this suits

Someone running a small team or working alone, with a product that already works, whether that's live, in beta or a usable demo, where the landing page, pricing, checkout or mobile experience is the weak part.

It's not a fit if the product doesn't exist yet, if you need the app itself built, or if you're after a full brand identity. Those are different jobs and saying so now saves us both the back and forth. The full scope and exclusions are written out.

Is it really free, and what then?

Yes, and nothing happens on its own. You get the teardown in writing. If you want to carry on you get a scope, and you can start at $99. If you don't, that's a completely normal outcome and you keep the teardown. You won't end up in a sequence.

If what you're really weighing up is whether this is safe to engage with at all, the risk page covers the payment structure, the staging review and the guarantee. The FAQ handles the crypto and no-calls questions directly.
